ABOUT

Teri finds inspiration for her art in a multitude of places which include fashion, literature, poetry, food, music, architecture, travel, people, nature and life. She considers what is damaged as beauty and what is undamaged as frivolous.

She grew up in Chicago’s near south side but in the early 80’s was desperate to relocate to a much more happening place in the north side neighborhood known as Boy’s Town. Instantly she was energized by her new surroundings and art had become obvious in every detail of her being.

As a self taught artist Teri took direction from observation. She struggled to find her voice through trial and error which she now embraces. Teri’s work has been selected into many juried exhibitions which include Chicago, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Palo Alto, Aspen, Austria, and San Miquel de Allende. She recently was the artist in residence at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, California. Her solo exhibition at Stair Gallery was selected as one of the top picks of places to visit by The San Francisco Examiner.

Before moving to California Teri was selected into an International group show to display her abstractions at the world renown Zhou B Art Center, located in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood where she grew up as a child.

Teri’s work has been featured in Luxe Home Magazine, Modern Luxury Magazine, as well as on HGTV shows. Teri has been commissioned by private collectors throughout the country.
